Passiflora la stravaganza | The Italian Collection of Maurizio Vecchia

GEOGRAPHICAL DISTRIBUTION OR ORIGIN:

P. incarnata x P. racemosa 'Buzios'.
Hybrid of horticultural origin.

CRITICAL MINIMUM TEMPERATURE: 0 °C

IDEAL MINIMUM TEMPERATURE: 5 °C

DESCRIPTION:

The diameter of the corolla is 9 cm and the shoot is full of buds. The crown is short and has been reduced by that of the father which is small. The intense pink colour of the corolla is the combination of the light pink colour of the mother with the bright red colour of the father.
In the filaments there are very slight alternating bands that start from the center completely white and that light up of violet towards the apex.
The name is dedicated to 'La Stravaganza', an important collection of violin concertos by Antonio Vivaldi, one of my favorite composers.
